It's October and we're still wearing shorts! The boys were playing football outside this morning so I just took our books out there. We did our History, Bible, and Math on the patio! I was just thinking about a quick walk down to the library when the skies opened up. The rain was badly needed so I didn't mourn our walk too badly.
The rain didn't last long though and the boys were back outside playing football again in the afternoon. They've been making up teams and writing out schedules, playing the games, keeping track of records, and generally running their own football league. It incorporates reading, writing, phys. ed, organization, and cooperation all while they think they're not learning anything.

It feels more like October today. Though I don't look forward to winter coming, fall weather is welcome after this hot dry summer.
this weather has been nuts, but i THINK fall has finally arrived. it's cool AND not humid out today ;)
not that i am very anxious to start bulking up with layers of clothes....
