'Tis the Season

Spring soccer season started today....

Matthew - of course, he doesn't play on a team... but he could!! LOL He was dribbling the ball all over the grass and even tried to kick it in the goal. He's such a copy cat!

Evan - typical Evan - He was excited about practice tonight and had a great time warming up with a friend while we were waiting on the coach. But then the coach showed up and asked us to move to a different field. I don't know if it was the change of fields or a new coach but Evan refused to practice. He griped and made up grouchy excuses why he couldn't do it. I was seriously ready to strangle him. He did this a lot last season and he promised me he really wanted to play this time. Grrrr!

Ryan - He had his first practice tonight too. He has a new coach and a new team but he already knows one girl on his team from our homeschool co-op. I didn't get to see much of his practice since I was with Evan but he assured me that he did great - so modest!

Adam - Even though he's only in 5th grade, Adam is playing in the middle school league. He's only 10 but that's where his birthday fell in their weird little system. We hadn't heard from Adam's coach yet so I sent Jeff to talk to the guy in charge. He got Adam's schedule and the coach's name and number. I guess the big kids start earlier b/c they've already had two games!!!! No one ever called us. I'm so mad. That is so-o-o unfair to Adam. And the coach is someone from our church (not someone we know very well; it's a huge church). Jeff left a message for him tonight.

Soccer season! Yay!
Although last season, I got exhausted just reading about your driving around to all the games and practices. Phew.

Have fun!
