Hey, It's My Birthday!

It's 12:01 so officially not my birthday anymore. But please feel free to wish me a happy birthday anyway. I do love to read comments. :)


Evan was sick this morning. He threw up, once that I saw and once that I didn't. That's important b/c I'm pretty skeptical when he claims a malady. He's the dramatic one. It was a weird illness, but one I've seen before. He'd be fine one minute, watching tv or chasing a brother, but as soon as he heard someone say, "Math," or "Science," the tummy ache would instantly kick back in. I let it slide b/c he's so far ahead. He's going to finish 2nd grade by March if we keep going at the same pace so a day off isn't going to hurt anything.

We actually saw the sun today and we're hoping to get temperatures above freezing sometime this week. There's still snow in the shady parts of the yard. I put out a couple bird feeders but the birds don't seem at all interested in them. In past years. we've had a wide variety of birds. But this year, we've only gotten a few starlings. Maybe we put them out too late? Or more likely, it's the stupid dog standing at the window barking like crazy.
