Once upon a time, there was a little boy who loved books. He'd cuddle and snuggle and enjoy a wide variety of stories with his mommy. Until one day, he met
Go Dog, Go. All other books paled in comparison. Nothing else could entertain like big dogs and little dogs, black and white dogs, dogs at parties, dogs in cars. The little boy listened to
Go Dog, Go every day, multiple times a day until the mommy thought she might start barking. This mommy decided that the baby would be better served if he was exposed to a wider variety of literature, maybe some
Cat in the Hat or
Dinosaur Roar. So, the mommy, with only the baby's best interest at heart, and definitely not b/c the mommy was tired of dogs on top and dogs under water, put
Go Dogs, Go on the bottom shelf of a lonely book shelf. The baby chose other books and the mommy and the baby enjoyed lots of different stories together. Happy ending, right?
Until one night, the Mommy pulled out Go Dog, Go for a bedtime story. The baby got so-o-o very excited. It was so obvious how he'd missed dogs going around and around and around. The mommy felt so bad that she read Go Dog, Go twice! Now it's a dog party every night... and morning... and afternoon... and evening...
