The Great Detective

Crystal may have solved The Great Moth Mystery for me. She posted this great link in the comments section. Don't be alarmed when you see the question, "What eats cocooons?," followed by "Snake." I admit to a moment of panic thinking a snake had been slithering around on my deck, somewhat like the tower on Exile Island (obscure Survivor reference). But it turns out "Snake" is the author's name (I'm betting it's a screen name). Anyway, Snake says that opossums, skunks, and bears eat cocoons so I'm guessing we had a opossum... I've never seen a skunk in our neighborhood and I think I would have heard a bear. No, I've never seen bear around here either ... although the neighbor's dog might have passed for one in the dark.
