Save Me

I believe I've mentioned Ryan's football fascination in previous posts. He spends a lot of time talking, and watching, and reading about, and playing football. In the past, it's always been backyard football. But now, and this is the part that I need to be saved from, he has actually joined a football team. I'm not worried about him getting hurt. I'm worried about TIME. They practice in the evenings on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. They have games every Saturday.. except the Saturday that Marshall plays WVU. The league is run by football fans, after all! So far, it's doable (actual word?). But soccer starts in September and Adam and Evan are still going to play soccer... which, of course, practices in the evenings (albeit not as many evenings) and plays on Saturday in a whole 'nother town.

Oh my goodness. I am NOT envying you at all! I am also going to stop feeling sorry for myself about the two practices a week and Saturday game for Cameron's soccer (that you talked me into, incidentally).

Do you know anyone on the team? Carpool perhaps? Best of luck. My head is reeling at the mere thought.

I was thinking the same thing. It's time to spot some poor sucker who can't say no to you and cajole them into carting your kid around for you some days!

OH MAN, that's a lot of football. Wowza.

And I was rolling about the comic. We're a half-Latino family (my half, LOL), so our conversations can get confusing if we say "football is on" then the kids say, "Oh, football" and we have to say, "No, no, FUTBOL" (in Spanish) and then explain the British version and it's just a big old mess. Sigh.
