Nothin' Says Christmas

Nothin' Says Christmas like

TUBAS!

It all started with our church's Christmas Music Festival. The orchestra swells with many guest members, including a tuba player. Matthew has always loved trumpets and trombones. When he looked over and saw that tuba, his eyes lit up and he gasped, "What is that?"

He was in love.

He watched that tuba for the whole performance, totally missing Daddy on the drums. During the intermission, we talked to the tuba player. He let Matthew push the valves and told him as much as he knew about tubas. He also invited us to a Merry TubaChristmas.

So we spent Saturday at the mall watching tubas (and euphoniums) play Christmas carols. And it was actually pretty good. Matthew, not missing a thing, has decide that rather than being a tuba player, he's going to be the director. If you get too close to him, he may recruit you for his tuba band. I hope you know how to make a giant plastic candy cane sound like a tuba... b/c there are no toy tubas to be found.

Tuba.
Tuba who?

And that, my friend, is the only tuba-related comment I could make. LOL
