He's Hooked
The guys around this house have never understood how I can sit for hours reading a book... or stay up to the wee hours of the morning b/c I can't put it down. But, I've done it now! Ryan is totally hooked on reading. Yay! He started reading Holes the other day and hasn't been able to put it down. He's been interested in books before but this one is different. He's hooked. Now, to clear my library fines so I can get the sequel. :)

Good for you! It's great to see kids enjoying a book.
I was/am the same way. As a child, I got in trouble all the time for ignoring my parents when they called me. I never heard them, being in another world and all. Now, I have to limit how often I allow myself to read a book. Otherwise the house would never get cleaned, school would never get done, and no one would get fed. I tend to get grumpy if I have to put a good book down and feed a hungry child. I mean, really, can't they just wait a day or two for food! The nerve of some children!
