It's time. Matthew is going to learn to use the potty. Is that considered home schooling?
I have not been very successful with potty training in the past. Yes, all my older boys use the potty but it was a rough road to get there! Actually, Adam was quite easy but the other two about killed me (and them).
What's your secret for quick and easy potty-ing?

How old is Matthew? (I forget my own age, so please don't be offended for my forgetting. Oy!)
Ah, potty training. Essie's training was superquick. She took a couple of months, had a few accidents then just told me one day that she was ready to be a big girl, and that was that.
Miguel took about one year. One looooooooooooooooooooooooong, interminable year. And gross. We don't really use pull-ups because, well, they feel like diapers and the kids don't get it. And we spend a lot of time indoors and the kid running around in just underwear and a shirt. And we give sticker prizes (gorgeous, new big fat awesome stickers) every time a kid does their business in the potty. We've done stickers and actually bits of candy. I know, I know, bad mommy for the bribe, but I don't care! The kid needs to learn! And if one darn little gummy bear helps, then so be it! LOL
in my effort to potty train our four boys, i have discovered that there is not one tried and true method. they are each different and what worked with one, did not work for another. so i went with the flow and tweaked what i thought might work over and over.
now i get to work with a little girl. so far i think she's in the effort for the dora undies...
they learn when they are ready....despite how much we try to make them do otherwise....;-)
My only suggestion is to wait until they are ready. All of my suggestions and ideas (and frustration!) did not help. I found it best to relax and let them work it out on their own... it WILL happen... keep the faith! :)
