While I don't have as many boys as some people, I have never, ever, EVER been asked if I only have four boys! But that's what someone asked me this morning. I had Evan back at the orthopedist for a final x-ray on his arm (he's totally healed now), and the doctor asked me if I only had four! And it was just shortly after some amazed stares in the elevator and the standard, "You've got your hands full." LOL
And let me assure you, four boys are enough for me. They are sucking the brain right out of my head. While driving to the doctor's office this morning, a trip we've made several times, on roads that I've driven for 20 years, I totally forgot where I was going. I passed the interstate exit and didn't even realize it. As I drove past the next exit, I realized I had forgotten to get off the freeway!! I was just gonna keep driving all the way to Kentucky, in fact, I was almost there! It was like I'd set the auto pilot but forgot to program the destination.... just get on I-64 and drive.... needless to say, we were late for the doctor's appointment!

Are you sure it was "only four" boys or was the emphasis more on "only boys"? I got the weirdest looks when I was pg with Greyson since I already had a boy and a girl - why on Earth would I want another?? I told them I was hoping for kittens this time. ;)
Hey, that brain-sucking thing? That doesn't come from just having 4 boys--that comes with being a mom, period! I do that too--did it just last week in fact, and now I can't even recall where it was that I was going, now, LOL.
Oh, and the frog laundry hamper? Sears.com. Dd9 found it, actually (who showed her how to shop online, LOL?) She knew I'd been looking for a green hamper for ds5 so she made sure to show it to me.
What a delightfull Blog. Four boys sounds like a blast. :)
LOL about four boys. I think four boys sounds so cool. We daydream about adopting, and we are thinking about a boy. How cool would it be to have three sons and a daughter? Or four sons and a daughter? Hey, or ... Oh, never mind. We've got see where Preston's career goes. (He's super-stressed right now, so this is not the time to mention it.)
I laughed at Jenny's comment. Yeah, when I was pregnant with Sebastian, people actually said, "But you have the boy and the girl!" Siiiiigh. Like it was about that???
I can't tell you how often people comment on "how perfect" it is that we have 2 girls & 2 boys (once they get over the initial shock of 4 kids). I've always wanted to say something like "yeah- 3 girls and 1 boy would suck". However, I tend to grin & sputter something about having even teams. one day it'll come out....
lol, i love the comments, "you have FOUR boys", as if that amount is totally beyond comprehension. i love the amazed stares. i just smile and thank god for my full hands!
