I've started countering Ryan's constant football talk with talk about the War of 1812. He can't believe the Bengals got beat Monday night?? Well, I can't believe the British burned down The White House. He can't believe Suggs got traded??? Well, I can't believe Napolean sold The Louisiana Territory for $15 million. He rehashes the game. I rehash the battle at Fort McHenry. He talks about angle of the instant replay. I talk about Francis Scott Key's angle as he watched the "rockets red glare." I'm really having fun with this and Ryan thinks it's funny too.
We finished reading The Great Horn Spoon but I don't have the next book yet! I don't know what the deal is with the library. I've requested several books a couple weeks ago and I'm still waiting for them. In fact, I reserved them the same time I reserved the book we just finished reading!! I guess that means an early Christmas break for us!
